The Learn to Sail Program promotes the growth of safe and fun small-boat sailing throughout BC and offers CYA Coach programs. Books and instructional information are available from BC Sailing.
 

The CYA Learn to Sail program has changed over the past couple of years to reflect new knowledge in athlete development, both for competition and recreation. The new LTS program includes Wet Feet and Optimist programs for younger sailors, and encourages sailing as a life-long sport.

Basic Keelboat Racing:

Provides the knowledge necessary to compete in club & local races with a fundamental understanding of the racing rules, protest procedures and applying sailing and seamanship skills in winds up to 20 knots.
